Providing Practical Solutions for Managing and Modifying Behaviour
Julie has worked with rescue dogs and organisations for more than 35 years and strongly believes that getting the right help for owners can help dogs to stay in their home for their life time.
Julie keeps up to date with the latest thinking and methods in the dog world, continuing
professional development by research and studying, plus some 12-15 days per year
attending, courses, seminars and workshops.
In recent years this has included courses with;

Dr Ian Dunbar, Nicole Wilde, Sarah Fisher, Annie Clayton KCAI, Pia Sivanni, Dee Ganley, Pam McKinnon, Deborah Gornall KCAI, Trevor Cooper (Dog Law), James Newns MRCVS, Wendy Vollhard, Sheila Hamilton-Andrews, Helen Clarke MRCVS, Gwen Bailey, Barbara Sykes, John McNeal KCAI, Kim Hunt, Dr Joel Gavriele-Gold, Helen Zulch, BVSc. MRCVS, Kellie Snider MSc, and many more.

Julie belongs to a number of professional organisations, all with a strict code of practise;
Association of Dog Training and Behaviour, (ADTB) Instructor and Assessor, Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) full member number 72705, Affiliation to the United Kingdom Registry of Canine Behaviourists (UKRCB), Licentiate member of the Pet Dog Training Instructors (PDTI), member of the Society for Companion Animal Studies (SCAS) and a member of the Agility Club.
• Julie is a graduate of Sheila Bailey's Dog Training and Behaviour Instructors programme (Derbyshire Canine Centre)
• Holds ADTB Theory and Practical certificates.
• Agility Instructor's certificates from Kim Hunt at the Derbyshire Agility Centre.
• Kennel Club accredited examiner for the Good Citizen Dog Scheme; Puppy, Bronze, Silver and Gold.
• Think Dog; ocn certificate
• PTTLS City and Guilds Award.
• Instructors Award from the PDTI
• PDTI Theory (level 3) Certificate.
• Harper Adams University College Level 5 Diploma in Canine Training and Behaviour Management; - Part 1 (level 4 certificate) currently working on part 2 out of 3.
• Julie is a member of the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training and Canine Behaviour - working towards accreditation; this means that one day her portfolio of evidence will be complete and accreditation/assessment will be applied for !
